What we ship, who made it, and what is still unresolved.
Every third-party asset compiled into a shipped OpenClinXR humanoid or room is listed here. The authoritative record is the repository's third-party asset licence ledger, which carries the per-file evidence, the refusals, and the corrections. This page is the human-readable summary of the parts that actually ship, and it states the open questions rather than omitting them.

| Asset | Credit | Licence | Ships in |

| Scrub shirt and scrub pants | WojackOWL, Medical Scrubs Kit | CC BY 4.0 | clinical nurse, clinical physician, peds nurse Kevin |
Modifications: the kit was fitted to each body's mesh through MakeClothes and compiled
into a single .glb alongside other components. The shipped files are adaptations, not the
original garments.
Corrected 2026-09-10. An earlier version of this page said the shirt ships in five
bodies and the pants in three. Both numbers came from the provenance sidecars, which name the kit for two
bodies whose meshes do not contain it. Reading the mesh names inside the shipped .glb files
gives three bodies, each carrying both garments. The bytes decide; the sidecar is not a bill of materials.
These three files now carry the credit in their own bytes, in the glTF asset.copyright field,
so a reader who fetches the mesh URL directly sees the author and licence without visiting this page. The
notice is derived from the components present in each file rather than pasted, so a body that owes no
attribution carries none.
Per-body composition
The asset.copyright notice in each shipped mesh points here. Every component welded into
these three files, not only the ones owing attribution:

Not yet determined. A bill-of-materials audit over the mesh names in all 19 shipped bodies found components whose licence no authority in this repository establishes: the procedural footwear on the older-rail bodies, and those bodies' generated base meshes. They are recorded as unknown rather than assumed clean. The same audit found no CC BY-SA and no CC BY-NC component anywhere in the shipped set.
No attribution required — CC0, credited anyway

Shipping under a recorded assumption — disclosed, not resolved
Three components ship where the source page and the file header disagree about the licence. Each ships under a dated, named ruling recorded in the ledger rather than a silent decision, and each is listed here so the assumption is visible to anyone relying on this work. Two were ruled on by the repository operator on 2026-09-10; the third is still open.
| Component | The conflict | Status | Ships in |
|---|---|---|---|
hm08 base mesh |
a 2016 README asserts AGPL against a 2020 LICENSE.md saying CC0, with no dated relicensing announcement |
resolved 2026-09-10 — the later canonical LICENSE.md governs; hm08 is CC0 |
every MakeHuman-derived body |
mhair02 hair |
the community page says CC0, the .mhclo header says AGPL3 |
override 2026-08-14, this uuid only; extended to public render 2026-09-10. The contradiction itself is not resolved — only the scope of the accepted assumption widened | physician, peds nurse, street adult male |
cortu_cargo_pants |
the pack index says CC0, the .mhclo carries no licence line at all |
still open — index-override ruling 2026-08-24 covers shipping only, owner contact pending | clinical nurse, family partner, street adult male |
After the two rulings above, the patient, the physician and the nurse are cleared for a published render. A frame containing the family member is not, because the cargo pants question is still open. If an upstream owner confirms that a copyleft header is the real grant, every asset derived from it will be re-baked without it and any published render carrying it will be withdrawn.
Recorded refusals
The ledger records assets that were acquired, measured, and then refused — among them Mixamo, whose terms forbid redistributing raw animation files, and CMU motion capture, which may not be resold even in converted form. Neither is a licence ambiguity: the restriction comes from someone other than the page's publisher, so no page statement overrides it.
When a page and a file disagree
MakeHuman assets frequently carry a pack page claiming CC0 while an individual file says something else. A ruling amended on 2026-09-10 settles which governs, in three shapes. Where the file is silent, the page's grant governs — an omission is not a contradiction. Where the file carries exporter template boilerplate a tool wrote rather than the author, the page governs. Where a specific file carries an explicit copyleft notice, the page does not govern by default: each such file needs a dated, named per-asset decision. Thirteen files are in that class today and none has one, so all thirteen remain refused.
The bake gate that decides what reaches a shipped file is deliberately stricter than this ruling and still refuses an absent licence line. An asset can be cleared by the ruling and still refused at bake time. That is intended: the ruling governs acquisition, the gate governs bytes a browser can fetch.
Corrections welcome. If you authored something listed here and the attribution or the licence reading is wrong, please open an issue on the repository and it will be corrected and re-baked.
